What a brilliant idea from Tyler Cullen and something I’ve always wanted to do but was too afraid of because of random looks and odd glances. Here’s what the Village Voice had to say about this viral project: “Videographer Tyler Cullen sought to find out the answer to what the bunches of us walking around with our ears plugged by headphones or little tiny buds (you know, so we don’t have to talk to other people) are actually listening to in our own private daily concerts. We are listening to many things! Also, we are impressed by how many people stopped listening and answered Cullen’s question. The removal of the single earbud from one’s ear to respond is surely a new contemporary movement, no? Here’s what he found out.”
