I had a feeling that Identity Festival would come back around this summer after a successful first tour last year.
I went to one of the stops near Philadelphia, and despite a severe downpour of rain I was not disappointed in the slightest (the rain probably made it better to be honest). Such acts as Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, and Chuckie headlined the event joined by several other great artists (Nero’s set was insane), and it was really amazing that all those great DJs would come together and do a tour. The tour treks on through the cities of the midwest and perform even more cuts from his discography. ‘The Yellow Album’ is still on the way, and will hopefully drop before the summer season arrives.

With the ‘Yellow Album’ project announced and in the works, Dom Kennedy has taken his talents to the road with good reason. The first few stops bring him and his crew out to Houston, Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta where he performs cuts from his ‘From The WestSide With Love II’ mixtape. The footage captures the backstage festivities, cameos from the infamous J305, aftershows, meeting Tyler The Creator, and a radio interview. The video truly gives an insight into the life of Dom who is generally seen as a relatively secretive individual.
VOYR continues to release footage captured during the popular Watch The Throne tour. Here, in the ninth installment of the series, the band members Omar Edwards (keyboards), Mike Dean (producer/keyboards/guitars) and Million $ Mano (DJ), are at the focal point.
After dropping a few acapella bars which are anticipated to appear on a track from his upcoming ‘Yellow Album’ project , Dom Kennedy decides to treat the crowd to a performance of his hit track “Grindn”. It goes without saying that Dom really knows how to work over a crowd.

Yep, over ten minutes of video, one continuous scene shot by one camera, and a bunch of teenagers with enough energy to be presumably hopped up on the equivalent of three 5 hour energy shots a piece. The WolfGang got together to shoot a cypher-esque video displaying their youth, collective individuality, and rap prowess. It looks like the gang have done it again. Be sure to grab their project, The OF Tape Vol.2 which is available now.

Beanie Sigel doesn’t kill the Freestyle 16 he was proposed to give, he murders it, chops the body up, and tosses it in the river. He always had the flow and this shows that freestyles are best left for the greats. Continue Reading →
