ILLVIBES IS CURRENTLY UNDER MAINTENANCE MODE: SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE!

Preview: New Usher & Swedish House Mafia Song “Euphoria”

There had been rumors that Swedish House Mafia was producing two songs for Usher’s forthcoming album, Looking 4 Myself. It seems that SHM previewed one of the songs, Euphoria, recently and someone put it on YouTube. Lucky us. Continue Reading →

Preview: Dirty South & Alesso – ID (City of Dreams?)

Alesso and Dirty South tweeted and posted pictures of them in Australia working on new material last week before the Creamfields festival hit Perth. Both of them dropped this during their sets, so we’re pretty sure this is what came out of the studio sessions. Continue Reading →

Release: Chuckie and Glowinthedark – Electro Dude

Here’s another installment from the Dirty Dutch master, this time teaming up with his newly signed Dutch duo Glowinthedark to create this deep electro-house track. This is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Chuckie, and it goes hard. His recent songs have been nuts. Check this one out and grab a copy at Beatport. Continue Reading →

Fluxus – T.E.A.M. (Original Mix w/ Flashback Acapella)

Borrowing the vocals from Calvin Harris’ well-known banger Flashback, this NYC up-and-comer brings us an original progressive house track with enough melody to keep your head bobbin all the way through finals week and straight into summer. In most charitable style, the 17-year old prodigy is giving this one away for free after the jump. So turn those headphones up to 11 and the festival season will be on us before you know it.

Lit – My Own Worst Enemy (Clinton Sparks Awesome Remix) | @ClintonSparks

I absolutely love when artists revive past hits. I mean, Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy” is a microcosm of my youth, one of the major hits from my high-school days (and, yes, I did just reveal my age, but it’s now time to embrace it). Clinton Sparks provides his own creative twist on the track, embellishing it with an uptempo, hyperventilating sound and invigorating my youthful spirit (for the moment). This is also a track that’s been co-signed by Lit’s lead singer Ajay Popoff. By the way, you’re going to hear more from Clinton soon, as he prepares to unload a variety of collaborations with Akon, Pitbull, Chris Brown and others. Continue Reading →

Preview: Deniz Koyu – Bong

Initially, I wasn’t too big on Koyu’s breakthrough single Tung, but I’ll admit it’s grown on me. Then came his second song, which was a bit more massive, Hertz. Both have seen a lot of support from a ton of DJs, most notably the likes of Fedde Le Grand and Swedish House Mafia. Now comes a preview of Deniz’s third single, Bong, which he recently stated is his follow up to Tung. Continue Reading →

Release: Avesta – Rollin

I have heard of Avesta though never really gave him a listen, but granted that his newest song has been released by Laidback Luke’s Mixmash label, it’s already been supported by a list of big named DJs, and it’s a bomb, this dude must be a don. Continue Reading →

Release: Avicii Feat. Salem Al Fakir – Silhouettes

Radio rips of this song have been circulating around the Internet for almost a full year now, and we’ve all been anxiously awaiting for the final version of this to come out. At last, the day is here. A new Avicii track to (hopefully) get Levels out of everyone’s heads. Continue Reading →

Release: David Guetta & Chris Brown – I Can Only Imagine (R3hab Remix)

The master of chainsaw madness is back with a fresh remix. After going on absolute tear last year, R3hab is no stranger to turning radio hits into hard hitting electro tracks with his unique sound. This time, he takes on Guetta and CB’s I Can Only Imagine. Continue Reading →

Live Set: Kaskade at Coachella

A lot of people were pissed off that Kaskade’s set wasn’t streamed on YouTube from this years Ultra, but hopefully this makes up for it. This mix is filled with tons of mashups, both new and old, and shows off how America’s most noteworthy DJ can pump up a crowd for an entire 90-minute set. Kaskade is set to headline his own Freaks of Nature Tour this summer with some notable names, so this is a taste of what you could come to expect from him. He named the genre of the mix “BIG ROOM MELODIC EUPHORIA” on his soundcloud. Once taking a listen, you’ll see what he means. Hit the jump for a preview of the mix, the track list, and a free download on soundcloud! Continue Reading →

Release: The Joy Formidable – A Heavy Abacus (Qulinez Remix)

Qulinez has finally released their most impressive effort since joining Steve Angello’s Size Records camp and their winter smash Troll (literally my favorite song for three months). While it doesn’t live up to their previous success, this remix still shows off how good the duo’s studio skills are. Continue Reading →

Release: Miike Snow – Devil’s Work (Dirty South Remix)

Having been called upon to fulfill remix duties for the likes of Tiesto, Guetta, and even Diddy, Dirty South has amassed quite a discography of remixes aside from his own original productions. This time, he takes on Miike Snow’s Swedish Pop single “Devil’s Work” and turns it into a club and festival banger. Continue Reading →

Preview: Wolfgang Gartner – Redline

I’ve heard this song a lot recently in some live mixes, and to be honest I didn’t think it was one of Wolfgang’s tracks. Even with this preview, I still can’t believe it’s one of his. Continue Reading →

Chromeo – When the Night Falls (SAVOY Remix)

SAVOY is back with another big remix, taking Chromeo’s disco-pop track, “When the Night Falls, and flipping into an absolute banger. The electronic group adds a tasteful amount of electro fire without compromising the funk that defines the original.

Identity Festival Announces 2012 Lineup/Some Dates & Locations

I had a feeling that Identity Festival would come back around this summer after a successful first tour last year.

I went to one of the stops near Philadelphia, and despite a severe downpour of rain I was not disappointed in the slightest (the rain probably made it better to be honest). Such acts as Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, and Chuckie headlined the event joined by several other great artists (Nero’s set was insane), and it was really amazing that all those great DJs would come together and do a tour.
