He has been foreshadowing for a little while now via his twitter account, and here is a brand new song from Kid Cudi. Production is done courtesy of Dot Da Genius, and this track will be appearing on Cudi’s anticipated “Wizard” album.
LRG Co-founder Jonas Bevacqua passes away at 34. Our prayers go to the family and friends as it’s a sad day in fashion.
About two months ago in early March, Mickey Factz dropped this track alongside of Marsha Ambrosius. I don’t think the messages of the video and the song match each other much at all. The track tries to highlight the importance of music and the culture itself, while the video is predominately shot during a party at a night club.
The Cool Kids are finally gearing up to release their highly anticipated “When Fish Ride Bicycles” project that has been rumored about for years now. It will be released on July 12th with help from the folks at Green Label Sound. Features include help from Tennille, Bun B, Chip Tha Ripper and many more. Keep reading for the tracklisting.
Jacob Kasher Presents The Ughmerica and gets Fam-Lay to jump on board. Shout out for some artists putting in work to bring up VA Beach music.
This song is already a smash and the video was already shot in LA. Taking place on Grape St and other known hoods to represent the love, they have the co-sign of Outlawz so everybody in the city knows Tupac’s Back!!!
My favorite track off of Fear of God, I honestly can’t wait for this video. It seems like all of the great tracks from the mixtape will have a video but what was your favorite?
Man this guy Meek Mill is getting more and more impressive. Seems like Ross made the right move in picking him and Wale up as I don’t think they would have gotten much shine by themselves. The Boss keeps finding the right people for MMG.
Wale’s No Days Off Tour has been very successful and this vlog goes over his stop in DC. Stopping by Russ Parr and balling a little in MD, just another day for the MMG artist.
Def Jam is repackaging R4 into a 5-track EP containing
1. Sookie Now feat. David Banner
2. Time Machine feat. Chamillionaire
3. Country Shit Remix f. Ludacris and Bun B.
4. The Vent
5. Moon & Stars feat. Devin The Dude, Curren$y & Killa Kyleon
KRIT will keep features on future projects a hush because it turned out to be so effective for this last project. Hell yeah it was.
East Coast meets West Coasts in this thrill-filled track produced by Inner Loop’s J-Scrilla, who provides these perfect sonic platform for Sketch and Nipsey Hussle. Sketch’s Virginia Tec-9, produced entirely by Scrilla, will be out this summer. Continue Reading →
Gerald Walker and Cardo, fresh off their collaborative project On Your Side, drop this stellar video directed by Etienne Maurice and Quinton Law, and with cameos from Bun B, Yelawolf, and others. Enjoy!
Okay, so maybe its not quite a freestyle, but it seems to be mostly unwritten. In front of a packed audience at UCLA, Lupe Fiasco decided to drop some spoken word prose on his adoring fans. There might even be a slight jabs at Kanye, Jay-Z, and Obama in there. HINT HINT.
Here is an electrifying video from The White House Band that is (apparently) currently banned from MTV. Directed by Kristopher Rey Talley, “#Wasup!” is the latest leak from the band’s #TheStimulusPackage EP. This is what I wrote about the track months ago: “’#Wasup!’ opens the EP with a thrilling piano riff, balanced with trippy sounds and a shrieky sample, all of which immediately wakes you up if you’re not ready for the album.”
Here are some fresh beats from DMV’s own Oddisee, who offers up these gems to promote his latest release, Odd Seasons. Continue Reading →
